After Forty-six Years

Seven of us, women who went to school together, graduating in 1971, have gathered now in Malaga, Spain, for three days. We have laughed a lot, talked until our throats were dry, reminisced, marveled at how much we can collectively remember, and shared a few teary moments. Our lives intersected all those years ago. Collectively now we are many things--teachers, social services specialists and activists, writers, civil servants, owners of businesses and more. We are daughters, wives, mothers. We have each had joys and sorrows in our lives. And for these brief days, once more, we are lucky to have this time together.
