Quoth the Raven

Real ravens on Mount Work, Vancouver Island.[wpvideo XtSoa9Wh]I'd heard ravens croaking. I understood why Poe chose the bird for his immortal poem. But in the way that reality sometimes has of surpassing one's expectations, I was unprepared for the vast array of vocalizations that make these birds sound like an avian percussion band. The video is just a very small sample. They're mimics as well, and can even imitate human sounds at times. It makes the "Nevermore" refrain seem pretty plausible.
